How I met apteryx
I was sitting on the Caltrain talking on the phone with my mom and staring out the window. As we pull into Mountain View, I glance out the window and see some guy eating a hot dog. I was thinking ‘hm, that guy looks familiar’. By the time I got off the phone I’d figured it out… it was none other than dot com hipsterologist 43thinger apteryx!
Now I don’t know how to pronounce apteryx, so I walked over and said “Hi I’m Linda” He looked at me with a “who are you and why are you talking to me” look.
But after that we talked about bugs and I gave him a samosa. I’m going to start carrying samosas in my pocket to get people to like me… think it’ll work?
